# Apps and roles

> Which Cohort app each person uses, where to find it, and what each role can do by default.

Cohort has a separate app for each kind of user. Your role decides which one you sign in to.

| Who | App | Address | Sign in with |
| - | - | - | - |
| Owner, Admin, Manager | **Staff console** | [admin.cohort.uz](https://admin.cohort.uz) | Phone number and password |
| Teacher | **Teacher console** | [teach.cohort.uz](https://teach.cohort.uz) | Phone number and password |
| Student | **Student console** | [student.cohort.uz](https://student.cohort.uz) | Student code and password |

<Note>
  If you have more than one role (for example, an owner who also teaches), sign in to each app separately. Each app shows only what belongs to its role.
</Note>

## What each role can do

These are the default permissions.

### Owner

Everything in the Staff console, including the actions only an owner can take:

* marking payroll as paid
* changing SMS settings
* renewing the Cohort subscription

### Admin

Everything an owner can do, except the owner-only actions above.

### Manager

Front-desk work. By default, a manager can:

* add students, staff and groups, and enroll students in groups
* work with leads
* create invoices, view payments and top up a student's wallet
* record expenses
* view the dashboard, the schedule and attendance

A manager can't edit students, staff or groups once they've been added. Courses, rooms, fee plans, discounts, notifications, payroll and recording payments are also not available to managers.

### Teacher

Works in the Teacher console with their own groups: sees the schedule, takes attendance and gives marks for lessons.

### Student

Uses the Student console to see their own schedule, attendance and marks, their invoices and payments, and messages from the center.
